This article is for users who want to send mass marketing campaigns by email or SMS (e.g. newsletters). If you just want to send transactional emails or SMS and your SMTP account has not been activated, click here.
What is account validation?
To make sure you are in the best position to be successful using Sendinblue, we initially need to validate your account. This check is essential to guarantee optimal security and deliverability for our users.
We manually check each new account before the first email or SMS campaign is sent (particularly if the databases used are Opt-in). Please allow up to 24 hours for us to take a look at the account and contact you with any additional questions. On the majority of times, it will only take a few hours for your account to be validated.
Validation process: 3 steps to validate your account
If you have followed the 3 steps and still see the validation steps on your dashboard (see image below), please check the following section I followed the 3 steps and my account is still awaiting validation. As long as you see the activation steps, it means the activation is not finished yet.

Please note that as long as you see the activation steps, it means the activation is not finished yet or hasn't been done in compliance to what we need to validate. Here are a few things to check before contacting our support team:
- Did you import all your contacts?
To validate your account, we need to you import your whole list of contact from the beginning.
- Did you schedule your campaign for your whole list of contacts?
To validate your account, we need to you send your first newsletter to your whole list of contact.
- Did you allow our team 24 hours to validate your account?
We manually check each new account before the first email or SMS campaign is sent.
