How to validate my Sendinblue account?


To make sure you are in the best position to be successful using Sendinblue, we initially need to validate your account. This check is essential to guarantee optimal security and deliverability for our users. 

We check each new account before the first email or SMS campaign is sent (particularly if the databases used are Opt-in). Our aim is to validate your account within few hours but due to time difference please allow us up to 24 hours to take a look at your account to validate it or contact you with any additional questions we may have.

This article is for users who want to send mass marketing campaigns by email or SMS (e.g. newsletters). If you just want to send transactional emails or SMS and your SMTP account has not been activated, click here.

What are the steps of our validation process?

When you first start with Sendinblue, you will find the following validation process on your dashboard:


  1. Complete your profile form
  2. Import all of your contacts
  3. Schedule your first email campaign

Each time a step is completed, it will appear as follows ✅


📝 Complete your profile form 

The first step of the validation process is to complete your profile with your contact information. You will only need to complete your profile once, however, you can always return and update your information.


  1. Click on Complete your profile and you will be taken to the page above.
  2. Fill in all the details (all fields are mandatory).
  3. Click on Update my Profile,
  4. Fill in your contact number for verification purposes.
  5. Enter the verification code you received by SMS.
  6. Click the check icon.

Congrats! You have completed the first step of the validation process.

If you have not already confirmed your email address, you will see a reminder highlighted in blue at the top of the page. Please check your email and click on the confirmation link or follow the prompts to resend the confirmation email.

👥 Import all of your contacts

The second step is importing all of your contacts in Sendinblue. You can do this action from the tab Contacts on the top menu. You can follow the detailed procedure on the article Importing your contacts into SendinBlue.

How long will it take for my account to be validated?

Once you have completed these three steps, validation of your account will begin. An account manager will validate your account and give you full access to Sendinblue within 24 working hours. On the majority of times, it will only take a few hours for your account to be validated.

To accelerate the process you can contact our support team by creating a ticket from your account.

💡 Good to know: Only the first campaign needs to be validated by an account manager. Any future campaigns will be sent automatically, with no delay.

Why my account hasn't been validated yet?

As mentioned above, we manually check each new account before the first email or SMS campaign is sent (particularly if the databases used are Opt-in).
